Starting at the left, its subject matter depicts an imaginary German landscape with a composite of existing German architectural landmarks: Liebfrauen Cathedral, Munich; Cologne Cathedral, Cologne, Holsten Gate, Lübeck; the Alps; St. Peter and Paul Church, Weil der Stadt; Castle Neuschwanstein, Bavaria; Brandenburg Gate, Berlin; Street Corner in Rottenburg ob der Tauber, The Rhine River; Rock Lorelei; Mannheim Castle; Mannheim Watertower; the Northern Flatlands; Black Forest Farm House: City Church, Pforzheim; Fortification Tower, Weil der Stadt; Lake Constance.

This largest outdoor mural of its kind on the North American continent invites all cultures to celebrate German culture and achievement in and outside of America. The group of children on the composition's lower left thus represents the variety of cultures that make up America and hereby calls for a joyful recognition of each other's beauty, each other's cultural treasures.
