"This mural is an ode to French Impressionism. I am inspired by their stylistic depictions of flowers and use of bright and airy colors. I wanted to balance the heaviness of New York's architecture with the light brush strokes of flowers in different styles of pottery. My work aims to surprise and please, turning the corner and walking down the block one enters a new world. Humor also plays a role in for these wacky creations, they are meant to create smiles and lighten ones mood when coming upon them."

 

This mural was commisioned by the Hudson Yards Hell's Kitchen Alliance (HYHK), who proudly partnered with Related Companies.
