Turning Point sculpture plaque, Rothay Park, Ambleside

This plaque contains information relating to the Turning Point sculpture which was unveiled in 2000 to mark the Millennium. The artwork to which the plaque refers can be seen here: NY3704 : Turning Point Sculpture, Rothay Park, Ambleside The text on the plaque reads: "Turning Point" CREATED BY YOUNG LOCAL PEOPLE, KIRSTY EVANS, NATALIE PRICKETT, CHARLOTTE UPTON AND HOLLY MORTON WORKING WITH LOCAL ARTISTS REBECCA HEATON COOPER AND SALLY TOMS. THE SCULPTURE WAS UNVEILED AND A TIME CAPSULE BURIED ON SATURDAY JULY 22ND 2000. FOUNDED AND SUPPORTED BY A PRINCE'S TRUST M POWER MILLENNIUM AWARD, CUMBRIA YOUTH SERVICE, BRATHAY HALL TRUST, LAKES NEIGHBOURHOOD FORUM, KIRKSTONE QUARRIES LIMITED AND THE LANGDALE ESTATE. THANKYOU TO ALL THE LOCAL PEOPLE WHO GENEROUSLY GAVE THEIR TIME TO MAKE THE PROJECT A SUCCESS.
