The following text is included, "Numerous local rail companies joined together to form the Great Northern Railway. By July, 1858 the Londonderry line was extended from Portadown to the outside of Dungannon. Later the Dungannon Railway Station was built at Beech Valley after the railway tunnel was completed. The line closed on the 15th February, 1965 just before work started on the M1 motorway. The track has now been lifted and the old station and line has been developed as a walking / cycle route."
