Roseisle, MB
This plaque is found near the wild rose sculpture. There is guest book in a case on the back for all visitors to sign.

Roseisle received its name in the early 1890s by settlers Mr. and Mrs. A. Beggs. Struck by the beauty of a small rose-covered isle rising out of the water after a big rain, the Beggs decided Roseisle was an appropriate name for the area. The name stuck and later was adopted for the town when the railway came through in 1901.
The area has always been known for its wild natural beauty and its residents for their strong community spirit. The Roseisle Community Wild Rose was built in this same spirit.
Dedicated this date, September 15, 1991 to the early settlers of the district, our rose is conceived by and designed and built by local welder Clifford McPherson. It is realistically printed by Roseisle artist, Stephen Jackson. This project is sponsored by members and friends of the community of Roseisle.
