SEAFARING MERCHANTS PARTICIPATED IN THE AFRICAN
SLAVE TRADE. IN THE 20TH CENTURY THIS PORT WAS
USED BY CAPE VERDEANS WHO CAME TO LIVE IN AMERICA.
