'This 1931 Art Deco building served as an annex to the adjoining 19 story headquarters of Dallas Power & Light Co. Lang and Witchell, who changed the skyline of Dallas, served as architect of record of this and nearby structures including the Adolphus Hotel, Kirby Building, Gulf States Building, Magnolia Building, Majestic Theater, and Lone Star Gas Building. The statue carvings on the upper corners of th elinstone facade depict Thomas Edison on the left and Charles Steinmetz on the right, proponents of direct and alternationg current respectively. The stained glass transom that shows Thor creating electric light was by Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company's Georgia Jensen and Roger McIntosh.
