Wetherby Bridge, Wetherby near Leeds, West Yorkshire

It's on a bridge which was once the main connection between North and South England, exactly halfway between London and Edinburgh. In addition to those mentioned, it is likely that nearly every British monarch crossed it at some point. If you walk under the bridge, there is another plaque which explains how the medieval bridge which stood here was enlarged progressively. You can see the original bridge underneath.
