The Pardon

The building here at 400 Edwards Street, was originally constructed to house the Shreveport Memorial Library. It opened in 1925 and remained at this location until 1980. After two years of renovations, the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce took over in 1982. However, it wasn't until 2007 that the Roman Villa style structure made its film debut as the Lake Charles, Louisiana courtroom in The Pardon starring Jamie King. Since then it has been seen in other feature films including Disaster Movie where a set crew turned it into a natural history museum filled with fake artifacts and in Oliver Stone's W, it served as a CIA director's office.
