THE NEWTOWN CREEK NATURE WALK
The plants and trees along the Nature Walk are identified with plaques which describe their historical, industrial and medicinal uses. They were selected for their unique characteristics, color, fragrance, and fruit, as well as their attractiveness to wildlife and adaptability to the waterfront. The Nature Walk was built for people's enjoyment, enrichment and learning, as well as to rehabilitate wildlife habitats and to improve the water quality in Newtown Creek and Whale Creek.
Please respect our efforts to maintain the Nature Walk's natural beauty and dispose of trash in the barrel containers, and please do not interfere with plant growth or attempt to use the plants as medicine or for other purposes.
