THIS SITE POSSESSES NATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE IN COMMEMORATING THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
ESTABLISHED IN 1838, THIS WAS THE LARGEST AND MOST VARIED OF THE EARLY AMERICAN RURAL CEMETERIES, CAREFULLY SITED WITH DRAMATIC VIEWS OF THE CITY AND HARBOR BEYOND.
