Capital Improvement Funds Were Secured By Flatbush Development Corporation (FDC) For The Cortelyou Streetscape Project Through US Congress Member Yvette Clarke, NYC Council Members Mathieu Eugene & Una Clarke, NYS Assembly Members Jim Brennan & Rhoda Jacobs And Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz.
 
The Streetscape Includes The Planting Of 40 New Linden Trees, Flatbush Light Poles, Benches, Trash Bins, Cobblestone Paving, A Clock, Bike Racks And Wrought Iron Tree Guards. The Streetscape Creates A Public Space That Invites Pedestrianism, Improves Public Health, Stimulates Local Economic Activity, And Attracts Residents And Visitors To The Community.
 
FDC And The Cortelyou Road Merchants Association Invite The Public To Enjoy Our Streetscape, Take Some Time To Stroll & Shop, Meet & Greet A Neighbor And Enjoy Cortelyou Road, The "Main Street" Of Victorian Flatbush.
