Saxholl

Saxholl is a beautifully
formed crater that erupted
3-4000 years ago. The crater
rises 109 m above sealevel.

The remnants of quarrying can be
seen on one side of the crater.

A viewpoint is at the top of the
crater.

The crater and the surrounding
area is very delicate. To prevent
further damage we ask our
visitors to stay on the footpaths.
Do not make stonepiles.

The path is steep, be careful
