MECHANICS ERECTED THE FIRST
REDLANDS "LIBERTY POLE" A TERM
DERIVED FROM THE AMERICAN
REVOLUTION MADE FROM A CENTURY
OLD, DOUGLAS FIR, THE POLE WAS MOVED
IN 1963 FROM THE INTERSECTION OF
ORANGE, CAJON, AND CITRUS, TO THIS
SITE. DETERIORATION OF THE TIMBER
FORCED ITS REMOVAL IN 1995. THE
SECOND REDLANDS LIBERTY POLE, 120
FEET TALL. AND MADE OF STEEL, WAS
RAISED HERE BY THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ON NOVEMBER 11, 1995
