March 3rd 1933 - Communist flowerpot resistance
A few weeks after the takeover, SA-squads marched through Elsaßstreet, known as communist stronghold. The residents pelted the Nazis with flowerpots from their windows, bottles, trash cans and other objects. The police opened fire and arrested 70 persons.
