Founder of Lick Observatory

This monument and the bust of James Lick, sculpted by Martha M. Mullin, commemorate the 200th anniversary of James Lick's birth. They were erected on August 25, 1996 through the generosity of his great-grandniece, Paquita Lick Machris.
