This plaque was a new edition of East Lynn and was made in 2021, it is so new that google maps do not show the proper location. All though the marker is in the middle of a four-way, the plaque is in fact located on a newly built rotary by the old neighborhood factory. The plaque was in memorial of early Harry Agganis. Harry Agganis was born in Lynn not too far from the plaque and is known for his outstanding performance in sports. He was an All-American quarterback who played for Lynn Classical Highschool and Boston University. He also was a starting shortstop for the Boston Red Sox when he
died at the age of 26 in 1955. There is now a scholarship named after Agganis (Agganis Foundation) that help determined and aspiring athletes get into colleges. It has awarded $2.16 million to 1000+ students since 1958.
