The stone does not originate here, as ND3494 : Flotta: the old naval cinema was completed in July 1943. The stone belonged to the neighbouring Fleet Club buildings, which were, as indicated, opened on 29 February 1944. The stone was relaid here when the Club buildings were demolished in the 1970s.
