Day of Mourning Plaque and tree, Fraser Lake

April 28 Day of Mourning Plaque, erected in approximately 2000 in a joint program between Worksafe BC, the BC Federation of Labour and the BC Business Council. The National Day of Mourning is observed in Canada on 28 April. It commemorates workers who have been killed, injured or suffered illness due to workplace related hazards and incidents. The plaque is fixed to a rock in White Swam Park. A commemorative tree is planted next to the rock.
