English text: “In Memory of Those Who Have Lost Their Lives at the Cliffs of Moher.” The plaque is erected near a closed-off section of the famous cliffs along the Atlantic Coast in Ireland’s County Clare. The plaque naturally raises the question of how many people have died falling or jumping from the cliffs. A study summarized here — https://www.islands.com/1788808/unsettling-reason-why-ireland-popular-tourist-attraction-cliffs-moher-closed-2025-deaths-dangerous/ — found 66 people have died at the site between 1993 and 2017.
