Central Louisiana State Hospital Cemetery
Authorized by Act 92 of the 1902 Louisiana Legislature, cemetery and morgue sites were selected in January 1906. There are 2,356 persons who are interred in the cemetery, the last occurring in June 1985. Individual graves for persons who are interred in the cemetery originally were identified by numbered, subsurface, concrete markers. The morgue known as Rose Cottage, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
