Dated 1986, the Trellech United Community Council plaque states that the adjacent plot of land Link is designated a village green and is registered with Gwent County Council. Village greens are an ancient part of British heritage and provide an area within the community where villagers have a "customary right to indulge in lawful sports and pastimes". During 1985-1986, Mr Alan Watkins of Broadstone restored the green and excavated its ancient well. Please help to maintain the restoration by neither parking on nor causing damage to the green.
