"Bear Valley Visitor Center
This visitor and interpretive center was the dream of William Field
(1910 - 1978), a longtime conservationist and friend of Point Reyes
National Seashore. The dream became a reality through his generosity
and that of the Leonard and Beryl Buck Charitable Trust administered
by the San Francisco Foundation. With the administrative aid of the
Costal Parks Association, the Center was constructed and donated to
the National Park Service.
