Plaque commemorating the start of construction of the Talybont Reservoir

Located here. Link The Newport County Borough plaque records that the construction of the reservoir was inaugurated by the mayor of Newport on July 28th 1932. Decades before the existence of Welsh Water, the Waterworks department of what was at the time Newport County Borough oversaw the building of the reservoir to supply water to Newport, 40km to the SE.
